Our old Main Street building is the basis of this feature by Steve Harvey in the El Pubelo Collection. No matter how you feel about the publicity Masonry is getting from movies and books like Dan Brown’s new “The Lost Symbol,” you can’t help but be proud of our Lodge heritage.
Our lodge plans to visit Olvera Street and the site of our old lodge on Main Street soon. I hope we are able to enter the lodge, which is on the second floor.
The article is correct in stating the lodge is small. I visited the lodge in the early 1990’s when I first became a Mason and was greated by the once caretaker, who gave me a great tour. That was infact a treat.
